On September 3, 1983, the Sword of The Spirit Ministries was formally commissioned at the University of Lagos. However, the ministry started in a miniature form with the publication of the Sword of the Spirit Ministries magazine in May 1980. And the President of the ministry, Dr Francis Wale Oke entered into the ministry full-time on May 17, 1982.
